Puig Campana, also known as the "sleeping giant", is the second highest peak in the province of Alicante, reaching 1406 meters. Located about 20 km from Benidorm, it is famous for its extraordinary views and rich fauna and flora. The massif hides two peaks, although at first glance only one is visible. The mountain is also the subject of numerous legends, including the story of a giant who kidnapped a woman from Finestrat, which was supposed to lead to the creation of Isla de Benidorm. Hiking trails lead through the areas affected by the fire in 2009, where the local nature is regenerating.
